WHO IS CREATOR COIN?
Creator Coin Collective (C3)is building a future where creators of all types and backgrounds can come together to share their talents and create new and exciting works, without the barriers that have traditionally hindered collaboration in the creative industries.
CONTEXT
For this project, I worked alongside Adelle Goetemann to co-create the C3 brand.
The Brand Identity
A fusion of innovation and artistic backgrounds
Inspired by contemporary art museum brands, the C3 brand identity captures the essences of creativity, spontaneity, and innovation at the core of the company mission.
Behind the Brand: Ideation & Process
Designing a brand for creators of all types, backgrounds, and industries.
Several potential directions were explored for the brand identity system via the stylescapes shown below. The various iterations each showcase a prospective path for the brand: two with tech/innovative-oriented imaging and the two with a more artistic and grounded identity.
The finalized concept was selected due to its creative and grounded essence, which cleverly mimics the users (creators) and product of C3. Similarly, it conveys a sense of solidity and reliability, important brand qualities as the C3 platform focuses largely on legal licenses and the protection of creative works.
Stylescape Options
The Logo Design
A geometric logo design inspired by mid-centery modern aesthetics & forms.
The C3 logo was designed based off the established branding guideline. The modular, simplistic nature of the logo elements mirrors C3's philosophy of collaborative creation via sharing & remixing of "building block" style IPs. It also lends itself to the overarching artistic inspirations of the brand identity, pulling primarily on midcentury modern aesthetics and forms.
Behind the Logo: Ideation & Process
An exploration focused on modular, geometric forms.
Visual themes of modularity, simplicity, and artistic practices were explored as possible directions for the C3 logo. These stylistic directions were selected as a way of visually reflecting C3's modular IP model.
As part of the initial ideation brainstorm, various relevant logos were audited and analyzed (logos of brands within the art world and/or logos relying modular, geometric components).

Various logo concepts were explored, with a particular focus on modular, geometric forms, inspired by Midcentury Modern art.
Color Explorations
Color explorations of the logomark tested a variety of gradients and color combinations.
Final Logo Design
The final logo configuration was selected for it's compact, bold nature, which lends itself well as a trademark sign while also referencing the artistic roots of the brand itself.
