Clairissa is a creative director and designer focused on the future of creative problem-solving, design thinking, and storytelling. With a love for the whimsical, her work often explores the intersection of creativity and functionality, finding magic in the mundane. In her practice, she builds solutions designed to resonate with people’s lived experiences, grow unique narratives, and spark new appreciation of people, ideas, and organizations.
Passionate about continuous learning, Clairissa has worked at a number of startups, both in-house and as a freelance contractor, and has experience designing across a range of sectors, including retail, urban planning, healthcare, education, and legal. She is a Partner and the current Design Lead at Pantheon, a venture building studio, where her role centers largely around product management and UI/UX design. In addition, she is a Co-Founder of and Product Designer at Open Space Sandbox, an urban-tech startup amplifying community voices to better inform practitioner design and create vibrant, meaningful spaces.
Clairissa holds bachelor's degrees in Psychology and Visual Communication Design from the University of Notre Dame.

A hobby enthusiast, tea addict, & animal lover.

Clairissa spends (a little too much of) her free time scrolling through Instagram animal reels and may at any given moment be caught taking pictures of her delightfully large cat, Pumpkin. Outside of animal-loving, she also enjoys illustrating , reading, vibing to good music, and desperately trying to keep her miniature succulents alive. While doing so, Clairissa almost certainly has a cup of tea in hand—she drinks 9 cups per day (cpd) on average and boasts a personal best of 17 cpd (but if you don't believe her, here's the data viz to prove it).
